​SURVIVOR has truly been a family endeavor.
 

This project began more than 21 years ago as a vision to create a meaningful resource for children. Brought to life through the beautiful illustrations of Domonique Bowie and thoughtfully reviewed and critiqued by our daughters, this book became a rewarding family journey and a labor of love.

The purpose of Survivor is to help children recognize, express, and understand their thoughts and feelings, while learning how the two are connected. As children read the story, they are invited to fill in the blanks and share how they might feel in different situations. Throughout the book, the illustrations introduce healthy coping skills, while activity pages encourage children to explore and write about their own thoughts and emotions.

By practicing these skills and reflecting on their experiences, children can begin building their own emotional toolbox.  A toolbox filled with strategies, confidence, and resilience.

Most importantly, they will discover that they have the strength to become a

SURVIVOR!
